Meet Anna.
My story
My woodworking journey started a few years ago but I have always been a “do it yourself” kind of gal. My first project was for my pups, my husband and I made them a double-decker dog bed, great for people watching in our downtown duplex. From there I kept making iterations until I landed on a modern design that went great in any room we moved it to. Before I knew it, I was making beds for all the dogs on the block.
From my table to yours
I'm no Gordon Ramsay, but there's something magical about cooking for others, building memories, and passing on those treasured family recipes. I can still feel the warmth of my grandpa's kitchen, surrounded by my cousins, eating up whatever delicious soup he whipped together. When he passed away, he took his recipe with him, leaving us hungry for more.
Luckily, my family recipe book is packed with gems—like grandma's soul-warming bread, dad's unbeatable pizza, and mom's drool-worthy chicken tetrazzini—each one written down with care, ready to be shared with my daughter.
The idea of building dining tables for families and friends to gather around, creating their own special moments, really resonates with me. That's why I started this tradition at Grain Aesthetics: with every table purchase, customers not only get a stunning piece of furniture but also a family recipe from the previous customer. And in the spirit of passing it on, you get to pass on your own kitchen masterpiece to the next one in line. It's like a recipe relay, keeping the good vibes and flavors flowing from one home to the next.
